Dungeons & Deadlines — Episode 9: The Ritual of the Daily CI Meeting

The New Hire discovers The Ritual of the Daily CI Meeting — a sacred ceremony performed every morning where alignment is sought, duct tape reigns, and somehow a PDF button is involved.
"Can you automate me a nap?" — Ulla, after the third stand-up this week.
The team gathers in their usual formation. The whiteboard has not been updated since Q2. Sister Amara Vonn Goldbane, the Lean Cleric, unrolls a fresh value stream map. It is twelve feet long. Orlin is already on his third coffee. The New Hire brought a notepad.
When alignment fails, duct tape reigns.
Caption: "The Ritual of the Daily CI Meeting — performed without fail, understood by none, sustained by habit."
Garreth: "Who owns the action items from last Tuesday?"
(Silence. The whiteboard is examined. Nobody owns them. They are orphans of process.)
Sister Amara: "Visualize. Stabilize. Optimize."
(She says this three times. It helps. Slightly.)
New Hire (scribbling): "Is every day like this?"
Ulla (without looking up): "Only the ones with meetings."
